4-Day City Experience Itinerary in Karnataka - August 2023

  1. Day 1: Bangalore Palace
    15 minutes (4.5 km) from Kempegowda International Airport

    Start your morning by exploring the magnificent Bangalore Palace. Built in 1887, the palace boasts of Tudor-style architecture and beautiful interiors that reflect the opulence of the Wadiyar dynasty. Afternoon can be spent shopping at the nearby Commercial Street, a bustling marketplace that offers a range of local products such as textiles, spices and handicrafts. In the evening, head to the UB City Mall to indulge in some fine dining and experience the city's night-life.

  2. Day 2: Lalbagh Botanical Gardens
    20 minutes (6.5 km) from Bangalore Palace

    Head to the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens in the morning, a sprawling garden that spans over 240 acres and houses a variety of plants and trees. It is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. For lunch, head to the MTR restaurant in Basavanagudi, which is famous for its South Indian cuisine. In the afternoon, take a stroll in the Cubbon Park, a green oasis in the heart of the city. In the evening, visit the ISKCON temple for a spiritual experience.

  3. Day 3: Mysore Palace
    2 hours 30 minutes (145 km) from Bangalore

    Start your day early and head to Mysore to visit the Mysore Palace, one of the most magnificent palaces in India. The palace is a perfect blend of Hindu, Islamic, Gothic and Rajput styles of architecture. In the afternoon, visit the Brindavan Gardens, which is a beautiful park located next to the KRS Dam. The garden has a musical fountain show in the evenings. In the evening, explore the local markets and try some of the local delicacies.

  4. Day 4: Hampi
    6 hours (330 km) from Mysore

    Take a day trip to Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is famous for its ancient temples and ruins. It was once the centre of the Vijayanagara Empire. Visit the Virupaksha Temple, Hemakuta Hill, the Lotus Mahal, and the Elephant Stables. Hampi is also a great place for trekking and exploring the local countryside. Return to Mysore in the evening.
