Start your first day in Delhi with a visit to Qutub Minar, a stunning 240 ft tower made of red sandstone and marble. The tower is surrounded by a beautiful complex of historical structures, including the Quwwat-Ul-Islam Mosque, which was built in the 12th century from materials reused from demolished Hindu temples. Explore the complex and climb to the top of Qutub Minar for panoramic views of Delhi.
Next on your adventure list is Delhi Ridge, an expansive forest area with hiking trails and wildlife. Follow one of the many trekking paths and get a chance to spot monkeys, peacocks, and even leopards. There are several trekking routes available for all levels of fitness, including the scenic 7 km Bhalswa Lake trek.
Start off your second day with a bang at Adventure Island, an amusement park with thrilling rides and activities for all ages. Take a ride on the largest roller coaster in India, the 'Daredevil', or challenge yourself with the 360-degree 'Flip Out' ride. There are plenty of tamer options available as well, including bumper cars, a waterpark, and a carousel for younger children.
End your Delhi adventure with a visit to Hauz Khas Village, a trendy area popular with locals and expats alike. Explore the vibrant streets filled with stylish boutiques, amazing street art, and delicious restaurants and cafes. Take a stroll by the beautiful Hauz Khas Lake, a perfect spot to enjoy the gorgeous sunset views. Make sure to visit the striking Hauz Khas Fort and explore the various art galleries and artists' studios located within its walls.
If you have more time, consider adding a visit to Red Fort or Humayun's Tomb, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. For a more adventurous experience, try hot air ballooning with Skywaltz (weather permitting). If you have less time, skip Adventure Island and spend more time exploring the historical monuments of Delhi, such as the Lodi Gardens or the India Gate.
