Coorg, also known as Kodagu, is famous for its natural beauty and adventure activities. Start your day with an early morning trek to Tadiandamol peak, the highest peak in Coorg. Enjoy panoramic views of the lush green hills, forests, and coffee plantations. After the trek, head to Abbey Falls, one of the most popular waterfalls in the area. The water flows through the rocks and creates a picturesque view. If you're feeling adventurous, take a dip in the cool water. Madikeri Fort is also worth visiting and is an important historical monument that dates back to the 17th century.
Gokarna is known for its beautiful beaches, temples, and scenic landscapes. Start your day early with a trek to the secluded Paradise Beach. The trek is a bit challenging but you'll be rewarded with a clean and uncrowded beach that looks straight out of a postcard. After the trek, head to Mahabaleshwara Temple which is one of the oldest temples in the region, located just a few kilometers away from the beach. End your day by taking a leisurely stroll on Kudle Beach and enjoying the sunset.
If you have more time in Coorg, you can visit Nagarhole National Park to spot some wildlife or go river rafting on Barapole River. In Gokarna, other beaches worth visiting include Om Beach and Half-Moon Beach. If you have less time, you can exclude Madikeri Fort in Coorg or Mahabaleshwara Temple in Gokarna. Don't forget to carry a water bottle, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes for the treks.
