Start off your trip with a visit to the iconic Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. Travel to Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted city located 40 km from Agra. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century to serve as the capital of the Mughal Empire. Explore the various beautiful structures such as the Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, and Diwan-i-Khas.
If you have more time, visit the Tomb of Itimad-Ud-Daulah, also known as the "Baby Taj", a beautiful Mughal mausoleum. For foodies, try the local delicacies such as Petha and Daal Moth, which are popular street food items. If you have less time, skip Fatehpur Sikri and devote more time to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
