Learn about the history of tea production and the traditional methods used to make tea at the Tea Museum. You can also enjoy a refreshing cup of tea while enjoying panoramic views of the tea plantations. The museum is open from 9 am to 5 pm and costs INR 75 per person.
Take a scenic drive to Top Station, which is the highest point in Munnar. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Western Ghats. You can also visit the nearby Echo point and take an eco-tour to the tea estates around the area. If you like adventure, you can trek to the nearby mountains. Note: The Top Station closes at 5 pm.
Kundala Lake is located in the heart of Munnar and provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxing day. You can take a boat ride and enjoy scenic views of the mountains or walk along the romantic paths. The lake is surrounded by lush greenery and is particularly enchanting when the Cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Note: The Kundala Lake closes at 6 pm.
If you have more time, you can visit the Eravikulam National Park, which is famous for its endangered Nilgiri Tahr. However, please note that the park remains closed in February and March. If you have less time, you can skip the Kundala Lake. Additionally, it is important to note that the weather in Munnar can be unpredictable, so it is advisable to carry an umbrella or raincoat.
