Nepal: A 6-Day Adventure

  1. Day 1: Kathmandu Durbar Square

    Kathmandu Durbar Square is the historic heart of the city, with a collection of temples, palaces, and courtyards that reflect the rich culture and architecture of Nepal. Walk through this UNESCO World Heritage site, which dates back to the 11th century, and admire the stunning carvings and artistry on display.

  2. Day 2: Boudhanath Stupa & Pashupatinath Temple
    20 min. (8.8 km) from Kathmandu Durbar Square

    Boudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in the world and a sacred site for Tibetan Buddhists. Walk around the stupa and watch the prayer wheels spin. Afterward, head to Pashupatinath Temple, an important Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated on the banks of the Bagmati River. You may also see Sadhus (Hindu holy men) in the area.

  3. Day 3: Chitwan National Park
    5.5 hrs drive (175 km) from Pashupatinath Temple

    Take a jungle safari in Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its diverse wildlife including tigers, rhinos, and elephants. You can take a canoe ride along the Narayani River, go birdwatching, take a village tour, and enjoy a cultural program in the evening.

  4. Day 4: Pokhara & Phewa Lake
    3.5 hrs drive (150 km) from Chitwan National Park

    Pokhara, known as the "Gateway to the Himalayas," offers breathtaking views of the stunning Annapurna mountain range and the majestic Phewa Lake. Take a boat ride on Phewa Lake and hike to the World Peace Pagoda for awe-inspiring views of the Himalayas. You can also visit the Mahendra Cave and the Bat Cave.

  5. Day 5: Sarangkot Sunrise & Tibetan Refugee Camp

    Wake up early to catch the sunrise at Sarangkot, a popular viewpoint in Pokhara, known for its spectacular sunrise and panoramic views of the Himalayas. Afterward, visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp, which houses Tibetan refugees and includes schools, craft centers, and Buddhist monasteries.

  6. Day 6: Bhaktapur & Nagarkot Sunset

    In Bhaktapur, explore the town's UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the 55-Window Palace, Dattatreya Temple, and Nyatapola Temple. Useful Tips

If you have more time, consider taking a trek to the Everest Base Camp or Annapurna Circuit. If you have less time, skip Chitwan National Park or Bhaktapur. We recommend traveling between cities by private car, which offers comfort and convenience.
