Spend your first day enjoying the tranquility of two beautiful beaches. Panambur Beach is a popular spot for swimming, water sports, and camel rides. You can also visit the Panambur Beach Festival, held in January or February. Tannirbhavi Beach offers stunning views and is best for a leisurely stroll. You can also take a ferry ride to the picturesque Sultan Battery.
In the morning, explore a man-made paradise at Pilikula Nisargadhama, which offers a zoo, a botanical garden, a lake with boating facilities, and a golf course. After lunch, drive to the Soans Farm, a family-run farm, for an authentic taste of rural life and a tour of the estate. The farm breeds exotic birds, cultivates fruit orchards, and grows spices.
On the last day, take a scenic drive to Kudremukh National Park, a protected forest area home to endangered species, such as the lion-tailed macaque and the Indian wild dog. The park offers many trekking trails, ranging from easy to challenging, with stunning views of the Western Ghats. In the afternoon, visit the Agumbe Rainforest Research Station, a conservation center for reptiles and amphibians located in the lush Agumbe rainforest. You can also watch the sunset at Sirimane Falls, nearby in the forest.
If you have more time, you can also visit some religious sites, such as the Kudroli Gokarnath Temple or the St. Aloysius Chapel. If you have less time, consider skipping Tannirbhavi Beach or the visit to Soans Farm. Remember to bring sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and insect repellent for outdoor activities. It's best to hire a private car or taxi for convenience, as public transportation can be time-consuming and unpredictable.
