5-Day Vaishno Devi Itinerary

1. Day 1: Reach Katra
   Distance from Jammu: 48 km (1 hour 30 minutes by cab)

   Visit the Holy Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. Start the yatra with blessings from the goddess. The trek is around 13 km from the base camp in Katra. It takes approximately 5 - 6 hours to reach Bhawan.

2. Day 2: Bhawan Darshan
   Distance from Bhairon Nath Temple: 2.5 km (1 hour 45 minutes by foot)

   Get the blessings of the goddess at the Holy Bhawan. Spend time admiring the beautiful architecture of the temple. Later visit the Bhairon Nath Temple, Situated at 6615 ft above sea level.

3. Day 3: Shiv Khori
   Distance from Katra: 68 km (2 hours 20 minutes by cab)

   Visit the beautiful Shiv Khori cave. Enjoy the natural beauty and mysticism surrounding the cave. The cave is believed to be a home to Lord Shiva and is situated between the hillocks of Patnitop.

4. Day 4: Patnitop Exploration
   Distance from Shiv Khori: 43 km (1 hour 30 minutes by cab)

   Spend a day exploring Patnitop, a famous tourist spot. Enjoy the chill in the air and the beautiful scenery. Visit the Nag Temple, picnicking in the pine forests, and lots more.

5. Day 5: Departure from Katra
   Distance from Jammu: 48 km (1 hour 30 minutes by cab)

   Bid farewell to the goddess and depart from Katra.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, you can add a visit to Amritsar, Golden Temple, and Wagah Border. If you have less time, you can subtract Patnitop from the itinerary.
