La Sagrada Familia is a magnificent basilica, designed by Antoni Gaudi, with awe-inspiring architecture both inside and out. It's a must-see attraction in Barcelona, with its unique towers and stained-glass windows. You can take a guided tour or simply admire the exterior for free.
Parc Guell is another attraction designed by Antoni Gaudi, known for its mosaics, colorful pillars, archways, and stunning views of the city. It's a great spot for a family picnic or a relaxing stroll through winding paths and gardens.
Montserrat Monastery is located atop a mountain and is well-known for its stunning views, beautiful basilica, and choir performances. Take a cable car to the top to access the monastery and don't forget to try some of their famous cheese and honey.
Barceloneta Beach is a popular and bustling beach near the center of Barcelona. It offers plenty of activities for all ages, including swimming, sunbathing, beach volleyball, surfing, and beachside bars and restaurants.
Barcelona is a walkable city, but if you need to go further, public transportation is reliable and easy to use. You can purchase a T-10 ticket which gives you ten trips on buses, trams, and metro lines for €10.20. Taxis and ride-share apps are also available, with an average cost of €20 for a 10-minute ride.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Gothic Quarter and its many historic buildings, or the Park de la Ciutadella for a picnic or boat ride. If you have less time, skip Montserrat Monastery and exchange it for a visit to Camp Nou, one of the most famous football stadiums in the world.
Barcelona has one international airport, Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN), which is located about 12 km southwest of the city center. It's well connected to the city by train, the Aerobus, and taxi or ride-share apps.
