The best way to travel within Barcelona is by using the public transport system including buses and the Metro. The Integrated Transport System Card, T-Casual or Hola BCN cards help get unlimited journeys so that you can explore the city and its beauty at your convenience. Average daily transport costs range from €7-10 per person/ day, with a travel time of about 20-30 minutes, depending on the distance between places.
If you have more time, we recommend adding a day trip to Figueres to visit the Dalí Theatre and Museum, or a visit to the Gothic architecture of the Casa Batlló. If you have less time, consider skipping the Tibidabo Amusement Park and montserrat monastery experiences.
The main airport in Barcelona is Barcelona El-Prat Airport (BCN), located approximately 14 km southwest of the city center. The airport can be reached by taxi in around 20 minutes, or by public transportation via the train, metro, or bus service. There’s another airport, Girona-Costa Brava Airport(GRO), approximately 100 km northeast of Barcelona, which is a small airport mostly used by low-cost airlines.
