One of the most popular beaches in North Goa, Anjuna Beach is famous for its pristine beauty, watersports, and nightlife. You can relax on the beach or take a dip in the sea. The beach is lined with shacks serving lip-smacking sea-food and drinks. Make sure to visit the famous Anjuna flea market, which is held every Wednesday. The market is filled with colorful stalls selling everything from clothes, jewelry, bags to spices, and street food.
Situated on top of a hill, Chapora Fort offers a breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea and the nearby surroundings. The fort was built in the 17th century by the Portuguese. If you are a fan of movies, you might recognize the fort, as it was featured in the famous Bollywood movie "Dil Chahta Hai." Explore the fort ruins and enjoy the stunning views of the sunset over the sea.
If you have more time, you can visit Baga Beach, Calangute Beach, and Fort Aguada. Dudhsagar Waterfalls and the Spice Plantations are also worth visiting, but they are located a bit farther away. If you have less time, you can skip Chapora fort and spend more time relaxing on the beaches or visiting the Anjuna flea market.
