9:00 AM: Mysore Palace
Located in the heart of Mysore city, this 14th-century palace is a must-visit. Its architecture and design are a blend of Hindu, Islamic, Gothic and Rajput styles which is unique in South Asia. As one of the most touristy places in the city, you could learn a lot about the history of Mysore and the Wadiyar dynasty whose home it was. Currently, the palace also houses a museum displaying the royal furniture, costumes and paintings. It is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
11:00 AM: Brindavan Gardens
Spread over 150 acres, these gardens are located just outside Mysore, and are famous for its musical fountains. Enjoy the sight of beautiful flowers and lush green grass. It is open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

1:00 PM: Lunch at Karavali Kitchen
Serving authentic coastal Karnataka cuisine, Karavali Kitchen offers delicious seafood along with mouth-watering vegetarian options. Don't miss out on their speciality, Mangalorean fish curry, and their biryanis. Its operation hours are from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

2:30 PM: St. Philomena's Church
Famous for its beautiful neo-gothic architecture, St. Philomena's Church which is located in the centre of Mysore, offers a sense of tranquillity and peace. The church's tall spires and striking stained glass windows are a sight to admire both inside and outside. It is open from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

4:00 PM: Chamundeshwari Temple and Nandi Statue
The Chamundeshwari Temple is one of the most popular temples in South India. Located on the top of Chamundi Hills, the temple offers a stunning view of the entire city. Take in the magnificent Nandi statue at the foot of the hills. It is open from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

6:00 PM: End the Day at Mysore Zoo
Mysore Zoo is home to many animals, including the Bengal tigers, Indian leopards, elephants, and giraffes, among others. The zoo is renowned for its breeding programs, and visitors can take a safari along the beautiful zoo. It is open from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Drive duration 15 minutes (3 miles).
If you have more time, you can consider visiting the Somanathapura temple ruins or the Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary. If you have less time, we recommend skipping Mysore Palace and Brindavan Gardens. Try to get to the temple early and leave enough time for the safari at the zoo. You can also rent a car or hire a guide to make travelling easier. Keep in mind that some attractions may be closed on public holidays and weekends. Enjoy your trip!
