Explore the Tulum Archaeological Site, an ancient Mayan walled city with stunning views of the Caribbean. Walk through the ruins and learn about the Mayan culture and history, as you gaze at impressive structures such as the El Castillo pyramid and the Temple of the Frescoes. The site opens at 8 am and closes at 5 pm daily, so it's best to arrive early and beat the crowds.
Take a refreshing dip in the Gran Cenote, a large underwater cave system with crystal clear water and a diverse range of fish and plant life. Snorkelling and diving are popular pastimes here, but if you prefer to stay dry, just sit back and relax on the wooden platform with a cold drink. The cenote is open from 8 am to 5 pm daily, but we recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds.
Take a Tulum Street Art Tour and soak up the vibrant energy of the city's urban art scene. Local artists will guide you through the streets and alleyways to show you the best murals and graffiti, each with its own unique story and meaning. The tour starts at 9 am and lasts for 2 hours, ending with a refreshing drink at a local café.
If you have more time, we recommend visiting the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, a stunning nature reserve with diverse flora and fauna. Alternatively, for a less active day, head to the Tulum Beach and relax on the white sandy beaches and turquoise waters.
If you have less time, you can combine the Tulum Archaeological Site and Gran Cenote on the same day and save the Street Art Tour for another trip. Tulum can get hot during the summer months, so be sure to drink plenty of water and wear sun protection.
