Explore the lush greenery, numerous species of flora and fauna, and the Blue Mountains at the Eravikulam National Park. This is the home of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and the Neelakurinji flowers that bloom only once in twelve years, so June 2023 is an excellent opportunity to see them.
Visit Top Station–a high-altitude scenic point that offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. You can take picturesque photos of the cloud-carpeted valleys, rising peaks, and misty mountains. Check whether Echo Point is open or not. If it's closed, add Pothamedu viewpoint to this list.
Visit the tea plantations where you can experience the art of tea making and appreciate the scenic landscapes, followed by a trip to the Athirappilly and Valara waterfalls. You can either take a soothing bath in the waterfall or just absorb its tranquillity.
If you have extra time, consider visiting the Tea Museum, MATSYAFED and Rejuvenation Centre, and Elephant Safari. Keep an eye on the weather since Munnar receives unpredictable rainfall in June, making some tourist sites inaccessible. Keep some Indian currency in hand as most hill stations, local stores and vendors don't accept cards. If you find that you have lesser time, consider dropping Athirappilly and Vallara waterfalls and visit the Mattupetty Dam and Lake instead.
