2-Day Hyderabad City Experiences Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Charminar
    15 minutes (4.5 km) from Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre

    Start your first day in Hyderabad at one of its most iconic landmarks, the Charminar. Built in 1591, this monument is a perfect example of Islamic architecture with its four minarets and intricate stonework. Take a walk around the area and explore the bustling streets filled with shops selling traditional bangles, pearls, and other souvenirs. You can also visit the nearby Chowmahalla Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which was the former residence of the Nizams.

  2. Day 1: Golconda Fort
    25 minutes (10.5 km) from Charminar

    After lunch, head to Golconda Fort, a massive fortress built in the 16th century. The fort offers stunning views of the city and is famous for its acoustic system, where a clap at the entrance can be heard at the highest point almost a kilometre away. You can also explore the beautiful gardens and the famous Fateh Darwaza gate, which is said to have never been closed.

  3. Day 1: Hussain Sagar Lake
    15 minutes (6.5 km) from Golconda Fort

    End your day with a visit to the famous Hussain Sagar Lake, one of the largest man-made lakes in Asia. Take a stroll along the lake, and admire the beautiful statue of Lord Buddha located in the middle of the lake, which is illuminated in the evenings. You can also visit the nearby NTR Gardens, a popular amusement park, and take a boat ride to get a closer look at the statue.

  4. Day 2: Salar Jung Museum
    15 minutes (5.5 km) from Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre

    Start your second day by visiting the Salar Jung Museum, one of the three national museums in India. The museum is home to an extensive collection of art, antiques, and artefacts from all over the world dating back to the 1st century. You can spend hours exploring the different galleries, including the Jade Room, Indian Art, and European Paintings.

  5. Day 2: Ramoji Film City
    1 hour 15 minutes (35 km) from Salar Jung Museum

    After lunch, head to Ramoji Film City, the largest integrated film city in the world. The film city offers a variety of experiences, including movie sets, amusement parks, and adventure sports. Take a guided tour of the movie sets used for Bollywood and Tollywood movies, or explore the Butterfly Park, where you can see over 100 species of butterflies. You can also watch a live show or stunt performance at Eureka, the largest stunt show in the world.
