3-Day Malaysia Itinerary for May 2023

  1. Day 1: Kuala Lumpur
    30 minutes (19.1 km) from Kuala Lumpur International Airport

    Start your trip in the bustling capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. Begin your day at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world. Take a tour to the skybridge on the 41st floor or head up to the observation deck on the 86th floor for a panoramic view of the city. Next, head to the Batu Caves, a series of caves and temples just outside of the city. The caves are home to a number of Hindu shrines and a 140-foot statue of Lord Murugan, the Hindu god of war.

  2. Day 2: Langkawi
    1 hour 30 minutes (28.7 km) from Kuala Lumpur International Airport

    Escape the city and head to the beautiful island of Langkawi. Start your day with a cable car ride up to the top of Mount Mat Cincang, the second-highest peak in Langkawi. Enjoy stunning views of the rainforest and the Andaman Sea. Next, head to the Langkawi Sky Bridge, a curved pedestrian bridge suspended 2,300 feet above sea level. End your day with a visit to the Underwater World Langkawi, an aquarium featuring over 500 species of sea creatures.

  3. Day 3: Malacca
    1 hour 45 minutes (148 km) from Langkawi International Airport

    Travel back in time to the historic city of Malacca. Start your day at the A Famosa Fort, a Portuguese fortress built in the early 16th century. Next, head to the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum, a beautifully preserved Peranakan heritage home showcasing the lifestyle and customs of wealthy Peranakan families in the early 20th century. End your day with a stroll down Jonker Street, a vibrant and colorful street filled with shops, cafes, and street food vendors.
