  1. Day 1: Exploring the Tea Gardens

    Begin your day with a visit to the lush tea gardens that have made Munnar famous. The Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, located at an elevation of 7,900 feet, offers a breathtaking view of the Western Ghats. The estate tour will take you through the history and processing of tea, and you can taste different varieties of tea. Next, head to the Lockhart Tea Museum, located in a restored tea factory, where you can see the tools and methods used in tea production in the early 20th century. After an enriching tea experience, stop for lunch at Saravana Bhavan, an excellent vegetarian restaurant in Munnar town. In the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum, which showcases the evolution of tea production in Munnar.

  2. Day 2: Trekking and Wildlife
    25 minutes (8.1 miles) from Munnar town

    Start your day with a trek to the Meesapulimala Peak, the second-highest peak in the Western Ghats. The trek starts from Rhodo Valley, and it takes around 5 hours to reach the peak. The panoramic view from the peak is worth the effort. Next, head to the Eravikulam National Park, which is home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. The park offers trekking opportunities and a nature walk, which is a great way to spot the Tahr and other wildlife. After a day of trekking and wildlife spotting, visit The Deli, a cozy restaurant in Munnar town, for dinner.
