In the morning, take a scenic drive to Rajamalai National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Trek through the lush green forests to reach the top of the hill, where you can witness stunning views of the surrounding mountains. In the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea production in Munnar and taste some of the different varieties produced here. In the evening, head to Mattupetty Dam for a peaceful boat ride and a chance to spot some wildlife along the banks of the lake.
Start your day early and drive to Top Station, the highest point in Munnar, to catch the sunrise over the Western Ghats. Take in the breathtaking views of the valley from the observation deck. In the afternoon, head to Echo Point, where you can shout into the valley and hear your voice echo back. Take a stroll around the picturesque lake and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings. In the evening, visit the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary to spot some exotic fauna including the tiger, sambar, and the grizzled giant squirrel.
Munnar is a nature lover's paradise, and there's no shortage of places to explore. If you have more time, consider visiting the Eravikulam National Park, Marayoor Dolmens, and the Anamudi Peak. You can also take a trip to the nearby town of Thekkady to experience a spice plantation tour or a boat ride on the Periyar River.
