    10 minutes (2.8 km) from Charminar

    The Salar Jung Museum is one of the largest museums in India and houses a vast collection of art, artefacts, and antiques from all over the world. Highlights include Mughal miniatures, Chinese jade, and European paintings. Make sure to check out the Veiled Rebecca, a mesmerising sculpture by Italian artist Giovanni Battista Benzoni.

    Paradise Biriyani is a Hyderabad institution and is famous for its flavourful biryanis. The restaurant has a great ambience and is always buzzing with locals and tourists alike. Make sure to try the chicken biryani and the double-ka-meetha, a traditional dessert made with bread and milk.

    20 minutes (8.5 km) from Paradise Biriyani

    Golconda Fort is a massive fortress that was once the seat of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. The fort is famous for its acoustics - a hand clap at the entrance can be heard at the highest point of the fort almost a kilometre away. You can also see the world-famous Kohinoor diamond at the on-site museum.

    Hussain Sagar is a large man-made lake that was built by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah in 1562. The lake is famous for its Buddha statue that stands in the centre of the lake. You can take a boat ride to the statue and also enjoy some street food at the local stalls around the lake.

    10 minutes (3.2 km) from Hussain Sagar Lake

    Bawarchi is another must-visit restaurant in Hyderabad that is famous for its biryanis. The restaurant has a simple decor but the food is delicious and affordable. Make sure to try the mutton biryani and wash it down with some refreshing buttermilk.
