3-Day Hyderabad Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Charminar
    20 minutes (6.8 km) from Hyderabad Airport

    In the morning, visit the iconic Charminar, an architectural wonder of Hyderabad. Climb up to the first floor to witness the breathtaking panoramic view of the city. You can shop traditional bangles, pearls and other souvenirs here. Have lunch at the nearby Biryani restaurants like Shadab or Pista House. In the afternoon, explore the Chowmahalla Palace, a symbol of elegance and grandeur during the Nizams' era. You can stroll through the palace's extravagant courtyards, gardens and admire the vintage car collection. In the evening, head to the Lumbini Park located near the Hussain Sagar Lake. Enjoy the laser show, musical fountain and boating.

  2. Day 2: Golconda Fort and Qutb Shahi Tombs
    40 minutes (14 km) from Charminar

    Spend the morning at the Golconda Fort, the city's most popular attraction. It is a historic fortress known for its acoustics, grand architecture and light and sound show. You can hike up to the top of the fort, visit the royal chambers, and see the engineering marvel of the water system. Have lunch at the nearby Peshawari or Barbeque Nation. In the afternoon, visit the Qutb Shahi Tombs, located nearby. These tombs are ancient and magnificent structures built by the Qutb Shahi dynasty. In the evening, explore the nearby Taramati Baradari, an ancient music complex where music was played for the kings.

  3. Day 3: Ramoji Film City
    50 minutes (30 km) from Qutb Shahi Tombs

    Visit the Ramoji Film City, the world's largest film studio complex, in the morning. Here, you can tour the sets, watch live shows, experience rides and dino attractions. Several live shows are available to watch, including the stunt show. Have lunch at the various restaurants and food courts in the complex. In the afternoon, visit the Salar Jung Museum, the third-largest museum in India. The museum has an extensive collection of artifacts from around the world, including paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, and carpets. In the evening, take a stroll in the Birla Mandir, a beautiful temple made of white marble with stunning views of the city.

Recommendations

If you have an extra day, you can explore the iconic Hussain Sagar Lake, Nehru Zoological Park, or the Ecopark. You can also visit the Mecca Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. For a side trip, take a day trip to the nearby Bidar Fort, a magnificent structure.
