6-Day Adventure Itinerary in Nepal for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kathmandu Durbar Square
    40 minutes (4.5 miles) from Tribhuvan International Airport

    In the morning, explore the ancient temples and palaces of Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Garden of Dreams, a neo-classical garden filled with pavilions, fountains and ponds.   2. Day 2: Boudhanath Stupa
    30 minutes (6 miles) from Kathmandu Durbar Square

    In the morning, visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world and an important Buddhist pilgrimage site. In the afternoon, hike to Nagarkot, a hill station known for its panoramic views of the Himalayas. In the evening, enjoy dinner and drinks at Club Himalaya, a luxury resort and spa.

  3. Day 3: Pokhara
    6 hours (127 miles) from Nagarkot

    In the morning, drive to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city nestled in the Himalayas. In the afternoon, go paragliding or zip-lining to get a bird's-eye view of the city. In the evening, take a boat ride on Phewa Lake and watch the sunset over the mountains.

  4. Day 4: Annapurna Base Camp Trek

    In the morning, continue the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, passing through the Himalayan villages of Dovan and Deurali. In the afternoon, reach Annapurna Base Camp and marvel at the breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre. In the evening, celebrate with a hot meal and some tea.

  6. Day 6: Everest Flight Tour
    6 hours (138 miles) from Annapurna Base Camp

    In the morning, take an Everest flight tour from Pokhara Airport and get a close-up view of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. In the afternoon, explore the beautiful city of Bhaktapur, another UNESCO World Heritage site known for its rich history and culture. In the evening, head back to Kathmandu for a farewell dinner.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider visiting Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its wildlife and jungle safaris. You can also take a side trip to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. To maximize your fun, make sure to pack comfortable hiking shoes, a warm jacket, and a good camera for all the amazing photo ops.
