4-Day Itinerary for Mangalore in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Panambur Beach
    15 minutes (5.3 km) from Mangalore City Centre

    In the morning, start your trip with a visit to Panambur Beach, which is known for its clean and clear waters. Spend a few hours enjoying the sun and sand. In the afternoon, visit The Seemanthi Bai Government Museum, which has a collection of artifacts from the Vijayanagara Empire and the rulers of the Mysore Kingdom. In the evening, take a stroll down the Tannirbhavi Beach and watch the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Kadri Manjunath Temple
    20 minutes (8.1 km) from Panambur Beach

    In the morning, head to Kadri Manjunath Temple, which is one of the oldest temples in Mangalore. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has a unique architecture. In the afternoon, visit the Pilikula Nisargadhama, a nature park that has a zoo, botanical garden, and a science centre. In the evening, head to the St. Aloysius Chapel, which has some stunning frescoes and paintings.

  3. Day 3: Ullal Beach
    30 minutes (12.7 km) from Kadri Manjunath Temple

    Start your day with a visit to the Ullal Beach, which is less crowded than other beaches in Mangalore. In the afternoon, visit the Shri Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple, which is one of the most popular temples in Mangalore. In the evening, head to the City Centre Mall, which has a variety of shops and restaurants.

  4. Day 4: Kudroli Gokarnath Temple
    20 minutes (7.2 km) from Ullal Beach

    On your last day, visit the Kudroli Gokarnath Temple, which is another popular temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, visit the Mangaladevi Temple, which is a beautiful temple dating back to the 9th century. In the evening, relax at the Someshwara Beach, which is a beautiful and serene beach.

Recommendations

Some other local attractions that you may want to consider visiting are the Sultan Battery, Tannirbhavi Tree Park, and the Panambur Fishing Harbour. For a side trip, you can visit the nearby town of Udupi, which is famous for its Udupi cuisine and Sri Krishna Temple. To maximize your fun, try some of the local food like Mangalorean fish curry, goli baje, and neer dosa. Don't forget to try the famous Mangalorean ice cream at Pabbas.
