Relaxing 4-Day Itinerary for Bangkok in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Wat Phra Kaew
    15 minutes (3.5km) from Suvarnabhumi Airport

    In the morning, visit the stunning Wat Phra Kaew, also known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. This magnificent temple is located inside the Grand Palace and is one of the most important landmarks in Thailand. Afternoon: Head to the nearby Wat Pho, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. This temple is home to one of the largest reclining Buddha statues in the world. Evening: Grab a tuk-tuk to Khao San Road for some delicious street food and shopping.

  2. Day 2: Chatuchak Weekend Market
    40 minutes (12km) from Wat Phra Kaew

    Spend the morning at Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest markets in the world. You can find everything from clothes, accessories, souvenirs, and even pets! Afternoon: Take a relaxing boat ride along the Chao Phraya River and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Evening: Head to Asiatique The Riverfront, a popular night market with lots of food, entertainment, and shopping options.

  3. Day 3: Lumpini Park
    25 minutes (7.5km) from Chatuchak Weekend Market

    Enjoy a peaceful morning at Lumpini Park, the largest park in central Bangkok. Take a stroll, rent a bike, or even practice yoga. Afternoon: Visit the Jim Thompson House, a beautiful traditional Thai-style house and museum. Evening: Head to the Baiyoke Sky Tower for a panoramic view of Bangkok and enjoy a delicious dinner at the revolving restaurant on the 81st floor.

  4. Day 4: Wat Arun
    30 minutes (8.5km) from Lumpini Park

    Start the morning with a visit to Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn. This beautiful temple is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River and has a stunning view of the city. Afternoon: Take a relaxing stroll through Chinatown and sample some of the delicious street food. Evening: End your trip with a relaxing Thai massage at one of the many spas in the city.

Recommendations

If you have time, consider taking a day trip to Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
