Start your day with a ride to the beautiful Mattupetty Dam, located on the way to Top Station. The morning breeze and picturesque views will leave you with a refreshing feeling. You can take a short walk around the dam or enjoy a boat ride. In the afternoon, head to the Kundala Lake, which is just a 10-minute drive away. You can also stop by Echo Point on the way, to shout out your name and hear it echo through the hills. In the evening, ride to the Pothamedu Viewpoint to experience the stunning sunset.
Start your day early and ride to the Anamudi Peak, the highest peak in South India. It offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and lush green forests. You can trek to the top of the peak with a guide, or simply enjoy the view from the base. In the afternoon, head to the Tea Museum and learn about the history of tea in the region. End your day with a ride to the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, which is a 45-minute drive away. You can spot various species of flora and fauna, including the endangered grizzled giant squirrel.
If you have more time on your hands, you can explore the Eravikulam National Park, which is home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. The park is only open from September to February, so plan your trip accordingly. You can also visit the Marayoor Sandalwood Forests, which are located a little over an hour away from Munnar.
