2-Day Itinerary for Barcelona in September 2023

  1. Day 1: Park Güell
    30 minutes (3.5 miles) from Barcelona El Prat Airport

    In the morning, explore the whimsical designs of Park Güell, a colorful public park designed by Antoni Gaudí. Take a leisurely stroll through the park's gardens, admire the mosaic-covered sculptures, and snap photos of the panoramic views of the city. In the afternoon, visit the Gothic Quarter, Barcelona's historic neighborhood filled with medieval architecture and narrow streets. Visit the famous Barcelona Cathedral, Plaza del Rey, and Plaza Sant Jaume. At night, indulge in a paella dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area.

  2. Day 2: Casa Milà
    20 minutes (1.5 miles) from Park Güell

    Start your day at Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera, another one of Gaudí's masterpieces. The building's unique architecture and rooftop views are not to be missed. In the afternoon, visit La Boqueria, a bustling market filled with fresh seafood, meats, and fruits. Grab some snacks and head to the beach for a relaxing afternoon in the sun. In the evening, enjoy a flamenco show at Palau de la Música Catalana, a stunning concert hall designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner.

If you have extra time, consider a day trip to Montserrat, a mountain range with a monastery and stunning views.
