4-Day Itinerary for Munnar in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Echo Point
    30 minutes (9.8 km) from Munnar

    Start your day with a visit to Echo Point, one of the most famous tourist attractions in Munnar. It is a serene place surrounded by misty hills and a beautiful lake where you can enjoy boating. The place got its name because of the natural echo phenomenon that occurs here. In the morning, you can enjoy a walk around the park and take some beautiful photos. In the afternoon, you can rent a boat and take a ride on the lake. In the evening, you can relax and enjoy the sunset with a cup of hot tea.

  2. Day 2: Eravikulam National Park
    1 hour 10 minutes (31.6 km) from Echo Point

    Eravikulam National Park is a must-visit destination in Munnar. The park is home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and other rare species of animals and birds. In the morning, you can go on a guided trek to the top of Anamudi, the highest peak in South India. In the afternoon, you can explore the park and spot some wildlife. In the evening, you can visit the Tea Museum and learn about the history and production of tea in Munnar.

  3. Day 3: Top Station
    1 hour 30 minutes (42.7 km) from Eravikulam National Park

    Top Station is the highest point in Munnar and offers breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. In the morning, you can take a jeep ride to the top of the hill and enjoy the panoramic view of the valley. In the afternoon, you can visit the Kundala Dam and take a boat ride on the lake. In the evening, you can visit the Blossom Park and enjoy the beautiful flowers and nature.

  4. Day 4: Attukal Waterfalls
    30 minutes (10.6 km) from Top Station

    Attukal Waterfalls is a hidden gem in Munnar and a perfect place to end your trip. In the morning, you can take a nature walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery. In the afternoon, you can take a dip in the cold water and relax in the lap of nature. In the evening, you can visit the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary and spot some wildlife.

Make sure to try the local cuisine, especially the Kerala-style fish curry and appam. You can also visit the Mattupetty Dam, Anayirangal Dam, and Lockhart Gap for some beautiful scenery.
