3-Day Udaipur Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: City Palace
    15-minute drive (4.2 km) from Udaipur Railway Station

    In the morning, explore the City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, and learn about the Mewar dynasty's history. Visit the Crystal Gallery to see the world's largest private collection of crystal artefacts. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola to Jagmandir Island Palace, a stunning 17th-century palace. In the evening, head to Bagore Ki Haveli, a 18th-century haveli converted into a museum, and enjoy the cultural dance performance.

  2. Day 2: Fateh Sagar Lake
    20-minute drive (6.3 km) from City Palace

    In the morning, visit the Saheliyon Ki Bari, a beautiful garden with fountains and marble elephants. You can also visit the Vintage Car Museum to see a collection of classic cars. In the afternoon, head to Fateh Sagar Lake for boating and stunning views of the Aravalli Mountains. Visit the Nehru Park, a garden island in the middle of the lake. In the evening, head to the Monsoon Palace, a hilltop palace with breathtaking views of the city and sunset.

  3. Day 3: Kumbhalgarh Fort
    2-hour drive (84 km) from Fateh Sagar Lake

    In the morning, take a day trip to Kumbhalgarh Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the second largest fort in Rajasthan. Learn about the fort's history and admire the stunning architecture. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Ranakpur Jain Temple, a 15th-century temple known for its intricate carvings. In the evening, head back to Udaipur and enjoy the sunset at Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary.

Recommendations

If you have more time, consider visiting Eklingji Temple, a 15th-century temple complex dedicated to Lord Shiva. You can also visit the Shilpgram Arts and Crafts Village to see traditional Rajasthani handicrafts. For a side trip, visit Chittorgarh Fort, a massive fort and UNESCO World Heritage site.
