3-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Mangalore in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Panambur Beach
    10 minutes (4.5 km) from Mangalore International Airport

    Morning: Spend the morning soaking up the sun and playing in the waves at Panambur Beach, one of the cleanest beaches in India. There are several water sports activities available for a small fee, including parasailing, jet skiing, and banana boat rides.

    Afternoon: Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch at one of the many shacks on the beach. Don't forget to try the local favorite, fish fry.

    Evening: Take a leisurely stroll along the beach and enjoy the sunset while sipping on a tender coconut water or a refreshing drink from one of the beachside shacks.

  2. Day 2: Kadri Manjunath Temple
    20 minutes (6.5 km) from Panambur Beach

    Morning: Visit the Kadri Manjunath Temple, one of the oldest and most popular temples in Mangalore. Admire the intricate carvings on the temple walls and learn about the history and significance of the temple from a local guide.

    Afternoon: Have a vegetarian lunch at the temple's food court, which serves delicious South Indian cuisine at a very reasonable price.

    Evening: Head to the nearby Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple, which is beautifully lit up at night. Witness the evening aarti and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

  3. Day 3: St. Aloysius Chapel and Pilikula Nisargadhama
    25 minutes (11 km) from Kadri Manjunath Temple

    Morning: Visit the St. Aloysius Chapel, a magnificent example of Baroque architecture with beautiful frescoes and paintings on the ceiling and walls. A must-visit for art lovers.

    Afternoon: Enjoy a picnic lunch at Pilikula Nisargadhama, a nature park with a zoo, botanical garden, boating facilities and a science center.
