Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Mehtab Bagh, a beautiful garden complex located across the Yamuna river from the Taj Mahal. You can also take a side trip to the Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-visit for birdwatchers. To maximize your fun, book a sunrise or sunset tour of the Taj Mahal to avoid the crowds and to experience the monument in a different light. Finally, don't forget to try some local delicacies like petha, a sweet made of pumpkin, and chaat, a savoury street food snack.
