Begin your last day in the city by visiting El Born neighborhood. Visit the Gothic-style Santa Maria del Mar and explore its narrow and authentically Spanish streets. Conclude your trip at Poble Espanyol, an open-air museum that transports you to different regions of Spain. You can see the craftsmen work and dive into the Spanish cuisine and culture.
Barcelona has an extensive public transport network, consisting of metro, buses, and trams. The T10 pass, which costs €10, allows for ten journeys on any public transportation mode. Taxis are widely available but can be expensive, so it is best to use them only for shorter trips.
If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to the nearby beach town of Sitges, where you can lounge on the beaches, check out the museums, or try the local seafood. If you have less time, consider combining Day 4 and Day 5, skipping Barceloneta in favor of the charming Born neighborhood.
Barcelona's main airport is the Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN), located about 14 km southwest of the city center. There are two terminals, with Terminal 1 being the largest, hosting most airlines. A taxi ride from the airport to the city center can take about 30 minutes, with a cost of around €35. An alternative airport is the Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO), located about 100 km from Barcelona.
