Two-Day Itinerary for Munnar in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Mattupetty Dam
    25 minutes (9.7 km) from Munnar town

    Mattupetty Dam is a must-visit destination in Munnar. It opens at 9 AM and closes at 5 PM. In the morning, you can enjoy the serene beauty of the dam and take a boat ride. The afternoon is perfect to visit the Echo Point, where you can shout and hear your voice echo back. You can also go for a nature walk around the place. In the evening, visit the Tea Museum and learn about the history of tea in Munnar. Don't forget to take some tea samples with you as souvenirs.

  2. Day 2: Eravikulam National Park
    1 hour 10 minutes (34.3 km) from Munnar town

    Eravikulam National Park opens at 8 AM and closes at 4 PM, so make sure to reach the park on time to catch a glimpse of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. The morning is the best time to visit the park as the animals are more active. After that, head to the Anamudi Peak, the highest peak in South India, for a panoramic view of the Western Ghats. In the afternoon, you can visit the famous Top Station, located on the border of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, to witness the stunning views of the valley.
