Spend the morning at Golconda Fort, which was once the capital of the Qutub Shahi dynasty. Take a guided tour of the fort, and learn about its history and architecture. In the afternoon, head to the Qutub Shahi Tombs, which are located nearby. These tombs are a marvel of architectural grandeur, and are the final resting places of the Qutub Shahi rulers. In the evening, head to the Hussain Sagar Lake and enjoy a boat ride.
Start your day at the Ramoji Film City, the world's largest film studio complex. Take a guided tour and explore the sets, sound stages and film making facilities. In the afternoon, head to the Chowmahalla Palace, which was once the seat of the Nizams. Admire the grand architecture, the collection of vintage cars, and the exhibits on display. In the evening, head to the Necklace Road and enjoy a leisurely walk along the waterfront.
If you have some more time, consider visiting the Birla Mandir, the Spanish Mosque, and the Nehru Zoological Park. A trip to the nearby city of Warangal, which is famous for its ruins and temples, can also be a good idea. To maximize your fun, try the local cuisine, including the biryani, kebabs and haleem.
