5-Day Munnar Foodie Itinerary for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Tea Museum
    10 minutes (4.4 km) from Munnar town

    In the morning, head to the Tea Museum, where you can learn about the history of tea production in Munnar. The museum is located in a beautiful old tea factory and has exhibits on tea processing and tasting.   2. Day 2: Top Station

You can hike through the park and see the Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered mountain goat. Afternoon, try some local delicacies at the Saravana Bhavan Restaurant. In the evening, visit the Tea Garden and Factory, where you can see how tea is made and taste some freshly brewed tea.

  5. Day 5: Kundala Lake
    30 minutes (20.6 km) from Munnar town

    In the morning, visit Kundala Lake, a serene lake surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery. Here, you can rent paddleboats and enjoy a peaceful row. Afternoon, try some Kerala-style biryani at the Royal Food Court. In the evening, visit the Munnar Market and pick up some souvenirs to take back home.

Recommendations

If you have time, you could also visit the Echo Point and the Attukad Waterfall, both located close to Munnar. Side trips to the nearby towns of Thekkady and Alleppey are also recommended for their unique experiences. To maximize your fun, try to wake up early and catch the sunrise at one of the viewpoints.
