You'll find street performers, casinos, and a zip line that takes you right down the middle of the mall. Grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants on the street or enjoy a drink at a rooftop bar.
Las Vegas has a variety of transportation options, including taxis, ride-sharing services, and public transportation. The RTC operates buses that run throughout the city and the Deuce is a double-decker bus that runs along the Strip. If you plan to visit sites outside of the city, renting a car may be your best option. Expect to spend around $7-$10 per ride on ride-sharing services, $2 for a one-way bus fare, and $50-$75 per day to rent a car.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Grand Canyon for a day trip or spending more time exploring the many casinos and shows along the Strip. If you have less time, consider skipping Hoover Dam and spending more time on the Strip. Keep in mind that Las Vegas can get very hot, so be sure to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen.
McCarran International Airport (LAS) is the primary airport serving Las Vegas. It's located just 2 miles from the Strip, making it a convenient option for travelers. Other airports in the area include North Las Vegas Airport (VGT) and Henderson Executive Airport (HND), but they primarily serve private and charter flights.
