5-Day Itinerary for Hyderabad

  1. Day 1: Charminar
    15 minutes (3.5 km) from Hyderabad Airport

    Start your morning with a visit to the iconic Charminar. This impressive monument is surrounded by a bustling bazaar, where you can shop for bangles, pearls, and other souvenirs. After lunch, head to the nearby Chowmahalla Palace, which was once the seat of the Nizams of Hyderabad. In the evening, take a stroll through the historic Laad Bazaar, which is known for its colourful lacquer bangles.

  2. Day 2: Golkonda Fort
    30 minutes (14 km) from Charminar

    Spend the morning exploring the ruins of Golkonda Fort, which was once the capital of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. You can hike up to the top of the fort for panoramic views of Hyderabad. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Qutb Shahi Tombs, which are an impressive example of Islamic architecture. In the evening, head to Hitech City for dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area.

  3. Day 3: Hussain Sagar Lake
    25 minutes (8 km) from Golkonda Fort

    Start your day with a visit to the sprawling Birla Mandir, which is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara. After lunch, head to Hussain Sagar Lake, where you can take a boat ride to the famous Buddha Statue. In the evening, visit the nearby Lumbini Park, which has a musical fountain show that is not to be missed.

  4. Day 4: Salar Jung Museum
    20 minutes (6.5 km) from Hussain Sagar Lake

    Spend the morning at the Salar Jung Museum, which has a vast collection of art, furniture, and artefacts from around the world. After lunch, head to the nearby Shilparamam, which is a crafts village that showcases the traditional arts and crafts of Telangana state. In the evening, take a stroll through the picturesque Necklace Road, which runs along the banks of the Hussain Sagar Lake.

  5. Day 5: Ramoji Film City
    1 hour 20 minutes (37 km) from Salar Jung Museum

    Spend the day at Ramoji Film City, which is the largest film studio complex in the world. You can take a guided tour of the studio and see the sets of Bollywood and Tollywood movies. The complex also has amusement parks, live shows, and restaurants. In the evening, head back to Hyderabad for a farewell dinner at one of the city's many fine dining restaurants.
