Discovering Kashi in 3 Days

  1. Day 1: Exploring the Ancient City
    20 minutes (6.8 km) from Kashi International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Id Kah Mosque, one of the largest mosques in China. Take a stroll along the Old Town's cobbled streets and admire the traditional Uyghur architecture. In the afternoon, head to the Abakh Hoja Tomb, also known as the Fragrant Concubine Tomb, where you can learn about the life and love story of the famous concubine. In the evening, visit the Grand Bazaar to explore the local handicrafts and taste some delicious Uyghur cuisine.

  2. Day 2: Natural Wonders
    25 minutes (10 km) from Id Kah Mosque

    Start your day by visiting the stunning Karakul Lake, located at an altitude of 3,600 meters, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Take a horse ride around the lake to enjoy the stunning views. In the afternoon, visit the Stone City, an ancient city ruins situated on a cliff, and learn about the history of the Silk Road. In the evening, take a dip in the hot springs of Tuzkum, known for their healing properties.

  3. Day 3: Spiritual Journey
    30 minutes (12 km) from Karakul Lake

    Start your day by visiting the heavenly Lake Bosten, known for its crystal-clear waters and surrounded by the snow-capped mountains. Then head to the Karez Irrigation System, an ancient underground water system that has been in use for over 2,000 years. In the afternoon, visit the Xiangfei Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to the legendary Uyghur princess who married the Qing emperor. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful walk in the Shipton's Arch, a natural arch located in the Tianshan Mountains.
