Two-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Bangalore in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Cubbon Park
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Kempegowda Bus Station

    In the morning, explore the lush greenery and historical monuments of Cubbon Park. Take a stroll through the park's famous walking paths, see the Band Stand, Bal Bhavan, Aquarium, and the State Archeological Museum. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Vishweshwaraiah Museum. This museum is home to a large collection of scientific and industrial exhibits, including engines, models, and machinery. In the evening, enjoy some street food at VV Puram Food Street, known for its delicious chaats, dosas, and sweets.

  2. Day 2: Lalbagh Botanical Garden
    15 minutes (5.6 km) from Cubbon Park

    Start your day with a visit to the Lalbagh Botanical Garden. This sprawling garden has a vast collection of rare plants, trees and flowers. Also, visit the Lalbagh Glass House, also known as the Crystal Palace of India, which is a replica of London's Crystal Palace. In the afternoon, head to Bangalore Palace, a palace that is a mix of Tudor and Scottish Gothic architecture. In the evening, watch a movie at the iconic Rex Theatre, one of the oldest movie theaters in Bangalore.

If you have extra time, visit the Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace and Bangalore Fort. You can also take a day trip to Nandi Hills, which is around 60 km from the city. The hills are known for their beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Another great place to visit is Wonderla Amusement Park, a theme park with thrilling rides and attractions. To maximize your fun, try local transport like the metro or buses. They are cheap and convenient. Also, try local food like dosa, idli, vada, and filter coffee. Lastly, don't forget to check out local markets like KR Market and Chickpet Market for some shopping.
