3-Day Itinerary for Munnar in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Mattupetty Dam

    In the morning, head to Mattupetty Dam, a popular tourist spot. Enjoy the scenic beauty while boating in the dam surrounded by hills. In the afternoon, you can visit the Tea Museum to learn about tea processing and enjoy a cup of tea. In the evening, visit Top Station to witness the sunset view.

  2. Day 2: Eravikulam National Park
    1 hour (25.7 km) from Munnar

    In the morning, visit Eravikulam National Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and explore the beautiful landscapes. In the afternoon, visit the Rose Garden to witness the varieties of roses and enjoy the scenery. In the evening, you can visit the Pothamedu View Point for a mesmerizing view of sunset.

  3. Day 3: Echo Point
    50 minutes (18.2 km) from Munnar

    In the morning, head to Echo Point to experience the natural echo phenomenon and enjoy the lake view. In the afternoon, visit the Kundala Dam and enjoy the boating experience. In the evening, visit the Attukad Waterfall, a beautiful cascade in the middle of hills.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, you can visit the Tea estates, Anamudi Peak, Lakkam Waterfalls, or Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. A side trip to Thekkady for a jungle safari or Alleppey for a backwater cruise is also recommended. To maximize your fun, you can try local food and attend cultural events.
