If you have extra time, we recommend visiting Caroni Bird Sanctuary to experience the sight of Scarlet Ibis returning to roost. For those who want more adventure, we suggest visiting the Pitch Lake, the largest natural deposit of asphalt in the world. If you have less time, we recommend skipping Fort George as it requires some physical activity and there are a lot of stairs to climb.
