Two-Day Itinerary for Bangalore in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit to Lalbagh Botanical Garden
    10 minutes (3.2 km) from Bengaluru City Junction railway station

    In the morning, head to Lalbagh Botanical Garden, one of the most popular attractions in Bangalore. Spread over 240 acres, this garden houses a vast collection of rare plants and trees. Spend the morning exploring the different sections of the garden, including the Glasshouse which is modeled after the Crystal Palace in London. After lunch, visit the Bull Temple in Basavanagudi, which is located nearby. Dedicated to Nandi, the bull, this temple is known for its massive statue of Nandi. In the evening, head to M.G. Road to indulge in some shopping and dining.

  2. Day 2: Visit to Bangalore Palace and Tipu Sultan's Palace
    20 minutes (6.4 km) from Lalbagh Botanical Garden

    In the morning, visit the Bangalore Palace, which was built in the 19th century and is modeled after England's Windsor Castle. Take a guided tour of the palace and marvel at the intricate woodwork and beautiful paintings. After lunch, head to the nearby Tipu Sultan's Palace. This palace was built by Tipu Sultan, the ruler of Mysore, in the 18th century. The palace now houses a museum that displays artifacts and relics from Tipu Sultan's reign. In the evening, visit the Ulsoor Lake, which is a popular spot for boating and picnicking.

If you have time, visit the ISKCON Temple, which is located near Ulsoor Lake. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is known for its beautiful architecture and serene atmosphere. To maximize your fun, try some street food like Vada Pav, Biryani, and Masala Dosa. For a side trip, you can visit the Nandi Hills, which is a beautiful hill station located about 60 km from Bangalore. Or, you can visit the Bannerghatta National Park, which is home to a variety of wildlife, including tigers, lions, and elephants.
