3-Day Hyderabad City Experiences Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Charminar and Chowmahalla Palace
    15 minutes (3.5 km) from Hyderabad City Centre

    In the morning, head to Charminar, the iconic monument of Hyderabad, and climb to the top to see a panoramic view of the city. Then, head to Chowmahalla Palace, the former residence of the Nizams, to admire the stunning architecture and learn about the history of the royalty. In the afternoon, visit Laad Bazaar, a bustling market famous for its bangles and traditional clothing. Wrap up the day with a visit to the nearby Mecca Masjid, one of the oldest and largest mosques in India.

  2. Day 2: Golconda Fort and Qutb Shahi Tombs
    30 minutes (10 km) from Hyderabad City Centre

    Start the day early by visiting the magnificent Golconda Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its impressive acoustics and engineering. Spend the morning exploring the fort and its many structures, including the Fateh Darwaza and the Kali Mandir. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Qutb Shahi Tombs, a collection of elegant mausoleums of the ruling dynasty. End the day with a light and sound show at Golconda Fort, a spectacular display of lights and music that showcases the fort's history and grandeur.

  3. Day 3: Ramoji Film City and Hussain Sagar Lake
    1 hour (30 km) from Hyderabad City Centre

    Spend the day exploring Ramoji Film City, the world's largest film studio complex and a major tourist attraction. Take a studio tour to see the behind-the-scenes action of movie-making, and enjoy the various rides and attractions in the park. In the evening, head to Hussain Sagar Lake, a large artificial lake in the heart of the city, and take a boat ride to see the famous Buddha statue on the island in the middle of the lake. Finish the day by trying some delicious biryani, a famous local dish, at one of the many restaurants in the area.

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Salar Jung Museum, one of the largest collections of antiques and art in the world, or the Nehru Zoological Park, home to over 1,500 species of animals. For a side trip, you can visit the historic city of Warangal, known for its beautiful temples and forts. To maximize your fun, try taking a food tour to sample the many delicious dishes of Hyderabad, or go on a shopping spree in one of the many markets in the city.
