4-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Vaishno Devi in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Katra
    Starting Point
    10 minutes (3.2 km) from Jammu Airport

    In the morning, visit the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi by trekking 13 km from Katra. The trek is steep and can take 5-6 hours. You can also ride a horse or hire a palanquin to reach the shrine. In the evening, attend the famous Amar Mahal Museum and Library, which showcases the rich history and culture of Jammu.
