Adventurous 2-Day Itinerary for Munnar in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Lake
    20 minutes (9.6 km) from Munnar

    In the morning, head to Mattupetty Dam, a popular spot for trekking and rock climbing. You can also try your hand at boating in the serene lake, surrounded by lush green hills. In the afternoon, visit Kundala Lake, where you can take a pedal boat ride and enjoy the stunning views of the tea plantations. In the evening, trek to the top of Top Station, the highest point in Munnar, to experience a breathtaking view of the Western Ghats.

  2. Day 2: Anamudi Peak and Eravikulam National Park
    1 hour (23.7 km) from Munnar

    In the morning, head to Anamudi Peak, the highest peak in South India, for a challenging trek and a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and forests. In the afternoon, visit Eravikulam National Park, known for its endangered species of Nilgiri Tahr. Take a guided trek to the top of Rajamala, for stunning views of the hill station. In the evening, go for a jeep safari in the park, to spot other animals like elephants and leopards.
