Two Days in Munnar: A Perfect Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Echo Point and Kundala Lake
    15 minutes (6.4 km) from Munnar town center

    Morning: Start your day with a visit to Echo Point, located at an altitude of 600 feet above sea level. Take a walk through the lush green tea plantations and listen to your voice echoing back. Don't forget to take a camera to capture the surreal beauty of the place.

    Afternoon: Drive 20 minutes from Echo Point to Kundala Lake, a serene and breath-taking spot. You can go for a speed boat ride or a leisurely pedal boat ride, or just sit and absorb the tranquility of the surroundings.

  2. Day 2: Mattupetty Dam and Top Station
    1 hour and 10 minutes (31 km) from Munnar town center

    Morning: Start your day with a 30-minute drive to Mattupetty Dam, situated at a height of 1700 meters above sea level. The dam offers a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the tea gardens. You can go for a boat ride or a short trek to reach the top of the nearby hill.

    Afternoon: Head towards Top Station, a scenic spot located on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, 40 km from Mattupetty Dam. The drive will take around 1 hour and 10 minutes, but the view is worth it. You can see the Western Ghats mountain range and the valley of Theni district of Tamil Nadu.

    Evening: On your way back, visit the Attukkad Waterfalls, located 9 km from Munnar town. The falls are surrounded by dense forests and rolling hills, making it an ideal spot to unwind and relax.
