Motorcycling in Mangalore: A 2-Day Adventure

  1. Day 1: Ride to Tannirbhavi Beach
    15 minutes (6.5 miles) from Downtown Mangalore

    Start your day early and ride to Tannirbhavi Beach, located at the confluence of the Gurupura and Arabian Sea. Take a dip in the cool waters or lounge on the sandy beach. Enjoy a delicious breakfast of local Mangalorean cuisine at one of the shacks overlooking the sea. Spend the afternoon exploring the nearby Mangaladevi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Mangaladevi, the patron goddess of Mangalore. In the evening, head to the Kadri Manjunath Temple, located on the foothills of the Kadri hills. This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is adorned with beautiful carvings and sculptures.

  2. Day 2: Ride to Pilikula Nisargadhama
    20 minutes (7.5 miles) from Downtown Mangalore

    Start your day with a visit to the Bejai Museum, located in the heart of Mangalore. This museum has a collection of ancient artifacts, coins, and weapons. Next, head to the Pilikula Nisargadhama, a nature reserve that houses a zoo, botanical garden, and an aquarium. Take a guided tour of the reserve and learn about the flora and fauna of the region. After lunch, visit the St. Aloysius Chapel, known for its stunning frescoes and murals. In the evening, head to the Panambur Beach and enjoy the sunset over the Arabian Sea.
