5-Day Hyderabad Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Charminar
    30 minutes (10 km) from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

    Charminar is a signature attraction of Hyderabad. This historic monument is famous for its four graceful minarets and surrounding markets. You can start your day by exploring the markets and trying the famous Irani chai and Osmania biscuits. In the afternoon, you can visit the Charminar and enjoy the panoramic view of the city from its top. In the evening, you can explore the nearby Laad Bazaar and indulge in some shopping for bangles, pearls and other souvenirs.

  2. Day 2: Golconda Fort
    30 minutes (12 km) from Charminar

    Start your day by visiting the Qutb Shahi Tombs which is located close to the fort. Then head to the Golconda Fort, a massive fortification built in the 16th century. The fort has many interesting features like the Fateh Darwaza, Ramdas' prison, and a sound and light show in the evening. Spend the evening at the Durgam Cheruvu Lake and enjoy a nice dinner at one of the restaurants nearby.

  3. Day 3: Salar Jung Museum
    30 minutes (8 km) from Golconda Fort

    Spend your morning at the Birla Mandir, a beautiful temple built on a hill that offers a panoramic view of the city. After that, head to Salar Jung Museum, one of the largest museums in the world. It has an astounding collection of art, artefacts, and antiques from various parts of the world. Spend your evening at the Lumbini Park watching the musical fountain show.

  4. Day 4: Ramoji Film City
    1 hour 30 minutes (30 km) from Salar Jung Museum

    Start your day early and head to Ramoji Film City, the world's largest integrated film studio complex. It is spread over 2,000 acres and has many attractions like film sets, gardens, amusement parks, and adventure activities. You can easily spend the whole day here exploring the various attractions. In the evening, head back to Hyderabad and enjoy a night at the GVK One Mall.

  5. Day 5: Hussain Sagar Lake
    30 minutes (8 km) from GVK One Mall

    Spend your morning at the Chowmahalla Palace, a beautiful palace built in the 18th century. After that, head to the Hussain Sagar Lake, which is the heart of Hyderabad. You can take a boat ride to the Buddha Statue located in the middle of the lake. The statue is illuminated in the evening and looks stunning. Spend your evening at the nearby Necklace Road, which has many restaurants and cafes.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Nehru Zoological Park, which is a great place to see a variety of animals and birds. You can also take a day trip to the historic city of Warangal, which is located around 150 km from Hyderabad. To maximize your fun, consider renting a bike or taking a walking tour of the city. Don't forget to try the famous Hyderabadi biryani and haleem.
