  1. Day 1: Van Gogh Museum
10 minutes (1.3 miles) from Dam Square

Start your day at the world-renowned Van Gogh Museum, which houses the largest collection of Vincent Van Gogh's paintings and drawings. Take a guided tour to learn more about the artist's life and see his most famous works up close. For lunch, head to nearby Brasserie Van Gogh for traditional Dutch cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Rijksmuseum, home to more than 8,000 exhibits showcasing the best of Dutch art and history. End your day with a relaxing boat ride through Amsterdam's charming canals.

  2. Day 2: Anne Frank House
15 minutes (1.9 miles) from Van Gogh Museum

Start your day early with a visit to the Anne Frank House, where the famous Jewish diarist and her family hid from the Nazis during World War II. Note that tickets must be purchased in advance online, and the museum has limited capacity, so plan accordingly. For lunch, head to Foodhallen, a trendy indoor food market with dozens of vendors serving international cuisine. In the afternoon, explore the trendy Jordaan district, known for its picturesque streets and eclectic shops. End your day with a visit to the Heineken Experience, where you can learn about the history of the famous Dutch beer and enjoy a tasting.

  3. Day 3: Vondelpark
20 minutes (2.6 miles) from Anne Frank House

Spend your final day in Amsterdam relaxing in the beautiful Vondelpark, one of the city's largest and most popular parks. Rent a bike or bring a picnic to enjoy on the grassy lawns, or visit the park's many attractions, including the open-air theater, the rose garden, and the Vondelpark Museum. For lunch, head to De Foodhallen, a trendy indoor food market with dozens of vendors serving international cuisine. In the afternoon, take a trip to the NDSM Wharf, a former shipyard turned artsy hotspot filled with street art, galleries, and restaurants. End your day with dinner at Pllek, a unique restaurant made entirely out of shipping containers with stunning views of the waterfront.

Recommendations

If you have extra time in Amsterdam, consider visiting the famous Red Light District or taking a day trip to the beautiful Keukenhof gardens, which are only open in the spring. You can also explore the city by bike, as Amsterdam is known for its bike-friendly streets. To maximize your fun, try to plan your activities around the weather, as July can be quite hot and crowded. Finally, don't forget to indulge in some traditional Dutch treats, such as stroopwafels and bitterballen, during your stay!
