Exploring Kanyakumari through Motorcycle Riding in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Padmanabhapuram Palace
    1 hour 30 minutes (56.5 miles) from Trivandrum International Airport

    In the morning, head towards the Padmanabhapuram Palace, which is located in Thuckalay, Kanyakumari. The palace complex is known for its unique architecture, ancient paintings, and woodcarvings. It was the residence of the former rulers of Travancore before they shifted their capital to Thiruvananthapuram. Enjoy a traditional lunch at a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon, travel to the Thiruvalluvar Statue, which is situated on a small island off the coast of Kanyakumari. The statue stands tall at 133 feet and is considered to be a representation of the 133 chapters of Thirukkural, a famous Tamil literary work. In the evening, visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, which is a beautiful monument built in honor of Swami Vivekananda. It is located on another small rock island and offers a stunning view of the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Kanyakumari Beach

The fort was built by the British in the 18th century and offers a stunning view of the Bay of Bengal. Take a walk around the fort and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Have lunch at a nearby restaurant and then ride towards the Thengapattanam Beach, which is located about 20 kilometers away. The beach is known for its calm waters and is perfect for swimming and sunbathing. In the evening, return back to Kanyakumari and enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant.
