Travel to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, and visit the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most famous art museums in the world, and see works by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and more. In the afternoon, visit the Duomo and climb the dome for stunning views of the city.
Take a gondola ride through the canals of Venice and visit the famous Piazza San Marco with its stunning Basilica, Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Explore the narrow streets and discover hidden squares and bridges while trying some of the delicious local food.
Embark on a cultural tour of Tuscany. Visit Siena, a beautifully preserved medieval town, famed for its Palio held twice a year. In the afternoon enjoy a wine tasting at Banfi estate in Montalcino, one of Italy's most famous wineries.
End your trip with a visit to the Vatican City. Spend the morning at the Vatican Museums, admiring works by Michelangelo, Raphael, and other Renaissance masters before arriving at the magnificent Sistine Chapel and the St. Peter's Basilica. Take a stroll through the neighbourhood of Trastevere, famous for its winding streets lined with restaurants and bars, before heading home.
If you have more than five days, consider spending an extra day in Florence to explore more of the city and visit the Pitti Palace. If you have less time, skip Tuscany and head directly to Rome and Venice. Keep in mind that Italian cities can be very crowded, so plan ahead and book tickets in advance, especially for museums and galleries.
