Visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial dedicated to Swami Vivekananda, a renowned spiritual thinker. Take a ferry from Kanyakumari beach to reach this site. The memorial is a blend of Indian and Dravidian architecture, and it commemorates the enlightenment of Swami Vivekananda. It also offers panoramic views of the ocean and the mainland.
Cool off at the Thirparappu Falls. It is located on the Kodayar River and consists of a small water cascade with a temple. Take a dip in the pristine water, hike on the hill, or conduct a picnic with your loved ones. The area is surrounded by greenery and the sounds of the gurgling water provide a therapeutic effect.
Admire the exquisite architecture at the Padmanabhapuram Palace. It is a 16th-century wooden Palace of the Travancore Kings built-in granite. The palace is a feast to one's eyes with its intricate woodwork, large courtyards, beautiful furniture, and ornaments. The palace also has a rich collection of murals, an Antique Carriage museum, and a library with palm-leaf manuscripts.
